Well, here we are just three days from heading back to Walt Disney World for the first time since 2009. I know what you’re saying. You’re saying “But wait, weren’t you just there for Mother’s Day?” Yes, we were, but I didn’t consider that a trip to Walt Disney World. It was a spur-of-the-moment trip that was planned like two days out, literally.
This one has been planned since we moved here in August of 2011. This is going to be a fun trip because now that we’re annual passholders and we know we can make that quick drive down for a weekend, we will be able to take our time and enjoy the sights and sounds.
Every other trip to WDW has been pressure-packed to try to get everything done in the limited time we had before the 13-hour drive back to Louisiana. This time, we plan on doing things we’ve never done.
We’re dining at places we’ve never dined. We’re riding rides we’ve never seen. We’re seeing shows we’ve never seen.
It will be like our first trip to Disney World, which is amazing considering we’re making our fifth overall trip. It’s amazing how things change when you’re seven hours closer to the parks and the trips don’t come three years apart.
Anyway, this is an introductory blog. My plan is to blog every day from WDW and hopefully provide pictures and videos from the parks. What happens to this blog after our trip remains to be seen.
But I can’t wait to see how our fairytale journey goes.
